ARCHERY BATTLESHIPS FUN DAY
HOW TO PLAY
•Battleships – a popular game of yesteryear possibly based on L’Attaque and Basilinda - 19th century strategy games. Popularised as Salvo in America and worldwide by Hasbro as BattleShips.

•All Social Distancing and Covid-19 restrictions/regulations are to be followed when playing this game. Please follow instructions at the field and consult Club website for latest info.

Contact other competitors to arrange games

Place your 5 ships on the grid on score sheet.

Shoot 6 arrows each end

After each end put a circle on squares hit on your score card and tell opponent where you hit – if confirmed as hit put a ‘X’, if a miss put a ‘M’

Continue until time/interest runs out.

Winner is who sinks most ships – if same, then highest value ships win, if same, number of hits wins, if same count as draw.

2 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.

•See attached charts for suggested scoring areas for bow types & distances

•Don’t’ hold up other players by scoring at bosses – just mark shots with a circle and exchange info well away from shooting line.

•Include date, name, win/loss/draw, opponents ships sunk, total number of hits, type of bow – see chart
